Pre-deployment Session- Photographer in Fairfield CA

Photographing couples is one of my favorite sessions because it’s fun to just let them be together and show their love to each other for an hour.  They may not realize that’s what they are doing but they get to be wrapped up in each others arms, kiss each other and gaze at each other for that whole hour.  Yes, ultimately at first the experience may seem really strange but most couples relax in just a few minutes and end up walking away feeling good about the session. And always seem to have lots of fun.  What’s not to like!!!

I, think a Pre-Deployment session makes that time that more special an undivided hour without worrying about what forms need to be turned in, or vaccines you need to have, bags that need to be packed in order to go.  Instead you get to just be with the one you love and cherish those special moments together and the upside you get to bring that memory home with you while your loved one is away.

This couple was a pretty amazing couple that I got to share my time with.  We are thinking of him while he is gone… Come home safely Mike!  And our love and thoughts are with you Kate while he is away.

Wedding- Photographer in Fairfield CA

These are being posted a little late… but better late then never.  I loved this couple it was so much fun working with them 🙂  Plus, I got to do her bridals before the wedding which made it that much more fun for me because I got to put my glamour skills to work!

Family Time – A Photographer in Fairfield CA

This weekend I was able to have sometime off so that I could be there for my Nephews 2nd birthday.  We went to a local park in my sisters area and I was able to click a few shots of my nephew Tovi and of my sister and her husband.  I even snuck in a shoot of my sister and me!!!  My brother in law was kind enough to click it for me.  (He isn’t shy about wanting to play with my camera, LOL).

I know a lot of families have struggles and don’t even talk anymore so I know just how blessed I am to have my sister as a best friend… and a brother too (who wasn’t present during these photos but was very missed).

I don’t get the chance to do a lot of weddings because I am married to someone in the military so most of my clients are already married.  Plus a lot of people for weddings go with the one that is established more in the area.  Because I have only been in business for a year I have only done a handful of weddings.

This couple was so much fun to work with.  They let me play a lot with my different shots and just went a long with whatever I wanted to do.  I loved it!

Ms. Photogenic

This summer I was asked to do a session for a family from Texas who were visiting their family and wanted photos done in the CA landscape.  Their daughter was entering a pageant in the fall and her portfolio needed updating.  We decided on a local vineyard because you can’t get more CA then that (at least not in this area where we are surrounded by vineyards).

* A couple weeks ago her Mom wrote to tell me that she won “Most Photogenic”!  How cool is that!  Congratulations on the win!

Pinups for a solider – Fairfield CA Photographer

Recently I was asked by a woman who lives here on the base if I would be willing to do a pin up session for her. She explained to me that they would be for her husband who is deployed and the pictures would be a gift for him on their anniversary. She had the great idea of putting together a package from that era which had postcards from then, candy cigarettes, and lots more goodies! I was so happy to help with this wonderful gift she was giving not just because it would make a solider serving happy but because it would make a woman who is left behind with her children feel beautiful and special. As a military wife I can relate to the feeling when our husbands are away it gets lonely and you don’t feel as beautiful or complete. More often then not you feel more like a hot mess. I felt so blessed to be a part of this with her. I think she blessed me more then I did her.

Baby Bump- Photographer in Vacaville CA

One of my beautiful friends is expecting in Nov.  This past week we went out in search of great locations to shoot her maternity.  We ended up going to a couple of local spots here in our area.   Then we went to an orchard that is owned by her friends family.  It was such a great experience for me to shoot in the orchard.  I hope that I will be able to go back again during the spring I can imagine how beautiful it would be with all the blooms.

Long Time No See- Photographer in Fairfield- Vacaville CA

Do you ever have that feeling where you life just seems to sweep you away and you feel like you might drown in the current.  The last couple of months have been full of moments like that for me and I have neglected this blog because of it.  For that I am sorry.  Not all moments were bad mind you just busy and sometimes over whelming.  Starting a new business has been a lot more confusing and frustrating then I first thought it would be.  But hopefully soon I will be changing things up enough that I will be able to feel a little more comfortable with my time management and get into a better routine with my blog.  🙂

I have many sessions I would love to share with you that you have missed out on because of my absence but I am actually going to start with my latest one because it was a session that I actually did for free for my make up artist that I work with for my boudoir sessions.  I was really needing a renewing and felt I needed to start fresh.  I loved the way it all turned out.
